Graceful Acres Farm raises purebred Dwarf Nigerian Goats that have strong dairy bloodlines. They can be used for dairy and they make excellent pets. Here is more information about the breed at NDGA . Dwarf Nigerian Milk is sweet tasting, and rich in butterfat and protein. Goat milk can also be used to make cheese or wonderful soaps and lotions.
We maintain a closed herd with biosecurity. Our goats are tested annually for CAE, CL and Johnes.
We have sold all of our Nigerian goat kids for 2021. We plan to breed Lucy x Riley in September 2021, and Lily x Porter in October 2021. Please contact us to get on the wait list for kids, due in late Feb-March 2022.
Waitlist payments are $50, and are not refundable. Deposit payment of 1/2 the purchase price is due by cash or paypal, once we have agreed on a goat after the goats are born and delivery date is agreed upon. Payment in full is required if you want the goat not to be disbudded, since that is done in the first 10 days.
Goats are priced based on their dairy performance and bloodlines, conformation and individual awards. Our goat parents are all registed with either AGS or ADGA, usually both. We will be participating in the linear appraisal and performance programs with our herd. Here's more information on what the ratings mean:

Reservations: We accept $50 reservations on a specific breeding/gender before live birth. We need an email and phone number. The reservation fee can be rolled over to another pairing if you choose not to buy a kid, but it is non-refundable. We can also notify you if kids become available before the due date from other pairings.
Deposits: Once the kids are born, we will contact you in order on the list and we require a non-refundable deposit of 1/2 of the purchase price to purchase a kid from that breeding. We accept PayPal, Venmo, Zelle and cash for the reservation or deposit. If you choose electronic payment, there will be a 3% fee that needs to be included.
You will be given 24 hours to decide if you want the kid, and the deposit must be received within 5 days. Goats are listed as "sale pending" until full payment is received.
Also, if we come to your name and you pass on an opportunity, your name can be moved to the list for future breedings if you choose to wait.
Pickup: Your kid may be picked up after 8 weeks of age. We will contact you and you can schedule a date. When you come to get your kid, you pay the rest of the money in cash or you can pay with PayPal, Venmo, Zelle in advance. You will also receive your registration paperwork (unless you have purchased a wether), bill of sale and goat health record. If the goat is not picked up by agreed date, a boarding fee of $3 per day per goat will be applied. If not picked up upon agreed date, the buyer understands that they may forfeit their purchase as well as lose their deposit and the goat may be sold to someone else at any time after this date. Boarding fees are still owed if you cannot make the pickup and the goat goes to another buyer.
Terms of Sale: We guarantee that the goat is in good health on the day of pickup. We are not responsible for the animal's health or performance after leaving our farm.
We reserve the right to retain any kid at any time. We also reserve the right to refuse a sale at our discretion. In this case your deposit will be refunded or you can apply it to another goat.
Additional Fees: You will receive a health record sheet for your goat. This will list any vaccines, medications or medical procedures before purchase. If you request health certificates or other veterinary services for transport, all costs associated must be paid before pickup. For instance, when purchasing a wether we can have the animal castrated and include that cost in the final payment.
Here is information on health certificates required for interstate transfer. Check your state's requirements. Some states require the health certificate done within 30 days of transport. USDA Health Transfer requirements
